Hurry up and give us some.
You had better do it quick
Or we’ll surely play a trick.
Trick or treat, trick or treat
Give us something good to eat.

A girl. Do you guess what is going on?

A boy. Trick – or – treaters have come to get treats from you or play tricks on you. It’s better to obey! If you have a coin, or a sweet, or anything else better give it to them, or...

A friend. Well, I am very glad to see their happy faces. But  my friend is a little scared. Let’s hide and watch them!

A boy. OK!

A Dance of bats or any other monsters

Scene 3.
Student 1/ We have come today to have fun. We hope that everybody here will do the same today.
Student 2/ Today is really a cool night. We have a party, it’s great. Today everything is only about the Halloween. And we have prepared some poems for you!

Student 3/
Lock your doors…
And turn out the lights,
Or ghosts and goblings
will spook you with fright!
Jump in bed then pull
The covers up tight,
Close your eyes until
The morning is light.

Student 4/
There's a goblin at my window,
A monster by my door.
The pumpkin at my table
Keeps on smiling more and more.

Student 5/
There's a ghost who haunts my bedroom,
A witch whose face is green.
They used to be my family,
Till they dressed for Halloween.

Student 6/
Some things are scary
Others are not,
Like ghosts and goblins,
And things that rot

Student 7/
Cats and dogs are not scary
At all,
All they do is play chase
And catch a ball.

Student 8/
But the scariest thing
Creeps around at night,
Looking for victims
To scratch and bite.

Student 9/
It hides its face
It's too ugly to see,
It rules all the monsters,
Both tall and wee.

Student 10/
You've got the picture,
That he is the king
Of everything scary,
Every little scary thing.

Student 11/
So watch out at night 'cause if
By him you're seen,
He'll give you an evil grin
And say...

(All together) HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Scene 4.
A girl: Oh dear! It’s so scary here! What to do? Who can help me?

(A song of the girl, music – When will my lige begin (Disney’s Tangled)

This night has come and you can see no people,
You try to call somebody in the dark,
Monsters and goblins, spooky masks and witches –
All of them I can hear,
And they soon will appear!

Yes, I am still afraid,
I don’t know where’s aid,
And who can help me then?
There isn’t  any man.

The monsters, go away,
Wait for another day –
It’s just the scariest   oh   Halloween!

Halloween means the scary ringing doorbells,
Frighting the people, who haven’t locked the door,
Trick-or-treaters look for sweets and apples,
Play the tricks, make the mess
And of course, make me stressed!

Yes, I am still afraid,
I don’t know where’s aid,
And who can help me then?
There isn’t  any man.

The monsters, go away,
Wait for another day –
It’s just the scariest   oh   Halloween!

I’ll keep wonderin’ and wonderin’,
And wonderin’ and wonderin’
How not to be afraid
At nigt like Halloween…

A boy! Don’t be scary! Halloween is a good holiday! People in the masks are children like you and me. But they want to play and have fun. And all the things around you are the symbols of Halloween. Let’s listen about them! My friends will help us.

A girl! OK! Let’s listen!

Student 1/ The first symbol is a witch. They fly on broomsticks and have a party. Witches can turn people into animals. They have dark hair and black noses.

Student 2/ The black cat is a friend of a witch. People say witches can turn into cats. These animals are the spirits of the dead.

Student 3/
 Green cats eyes
 in midnight gloom
 fly with the witch
 on her ragged broom
 Ghosts and shadow people
 evade our sight.
None may not see what they might.

Student 4/ A pumpkin is the ghost of a Jack who wasn’t  very kind. Today people put candles into pumpkins and have light in the room.

Student 5/ A candle inside a jack-o-lantern keeps evil spirits and demons away. A new candle on Halloween is a good luck.

Student 6/ If you see a spider on Halloween, it can be the spirit of a man who loves you.

Student 7/ Bats usually fly at night. They are the friends of a vampire.

Student 8/ A ghost usually is in white. They scare people and live in empty houses. But we have some hunters for them.

               (a dance «Ghostbusters»)

Scene 5.
A girl: Ghosts don’t like light. And we have many pumpkins today.

Student 1/
Jack-o-Lantern, Jack-o-Lantern,
You are such a funny sight.
As you sit there by the window,
Looking out into the night.

You were once a sturdy pumpkin,
growing on a curly vine.
Now you are a Jack-o-lantern,
See your night lights shine.
So let’s choose the most original pumpkin.

A boy: So, Halloween is time for fun but not for fears. Let’s have fun.

Scene 6.

Dracula/ Well, well, well. I see, you have fun. But you’ve come. I’m Dracula!!! I like black because  I walk at night. My friends are bats. My favourite drink is blood. Ha-ha-ha…

A girl: Dracula, I’m not scared. It’s only clothes. Other children have costumes, too. Parents, Let’s choose the best costume.

(The children are making a parade. The guests choose the best costume)

A friend: So our party is coming to its end. We are thankful to everybody who has come today to help my friend.

                                        (Final Song)
Knock, knock. Knock
Knock, knock, knock

Happy Halloween!
Give me candy – good to it
Happy Halloween! (3)

Trick or treat!
Fun, fun, fun!
Come on! Let’s go!

Knock, knock. Knock
Knock, knock, knock

Happy Halloween!

The girl: We are here to make your time better and to make you day brighter. Just remember when you are together, when you have something in common, nobody can destroy you. And now it’s time to have something tasty!

(parents give sweets made of pumpkin to the children)

Teacher:
Good morning, pupils and our guests. As you have already understood, today we are going to speak about friends and friendship. Of course friendship is very important for every person. Only real friends make our life interesting and bright. That’s why people appreciate friendship. Do you know that in some countries they celebrate Friendship Day? Let’s listen some facts about this holiday.
Pupil 1:
Just like the name sounds, Friendship Day is a day to honor and celebrate our friends. Good friends can be one of the great joys in life and this is a great time to let your friends know how much they mean to you.
Pupil 2:
In the United States Friendship Day is celebrated on the first Sunday in August. Many other countries such as India also celebrate it on the first Sunday.  The United Nations declared International Friendship Day to be on July 30.
Pupil 3:
The day is a national observance in the United States and also by the United Nations. It's not widely celebrated in the United States, however. It is perhaps more popular in India and some Asian and South American countries.  Anyone who has a close friend they want to honor can celebrate the day. It is a good reminder that we should treasure our friends.
Pupil 4:
The main thing people do to celebrate is to get a small gift for their friends. This can be a simple card or something meaningful like a friendship bracelet.  Of course the best way to spend the day is to hang out with friends. Some people use the day to have a reunion and get a group of friends together for a party.
Pupil 5:
Friendship Day was first introduced by Joyce Hall of Hallmark Cards. She recommended early August as this is one of the slowest times of any holidays or observances in the United States. At first the idea didn't take off.  In 1935 the US Congress made Friendship Day an official observance.  The idea of a day celebrating friends then spread through much of the world. In 1958, a group of people from Paraguay proposed an International Friendship Day. It took some time, but in 2011 the United Nations declared that July 30th would officially be International Friendship Day.
Teacher:
As you can see friendship is very important for people all over the world. And what about you? What does it mean for you? Have you got a real friend? Who can be your friend? What treats of you friends’ character do you like best of all? Let’s speak about it.
Look at the screen. You can see some English words which mean different treats of character. First of all you have to find the correspondent translation of the words.

Now complete the sentence: I would like my friend to be …
Teacher:
Of course, you have many friends. But we are going to speak about the best of them.  Listen to the story of your classmates very attentive because then you’ll have a test.

-What are you doing, Nick?
-Oh, Mum, I am reading an interesting book.
-It’s very good. Nick, it will be holidays soon. Where would you like to spend it?
-I don’t know yet. Maybe, I’ll stay at home and spend some days with my friends.

Once upon a time there lived three brothers, three little piglets. They lived happily in a little hut with their mother-pig. They ate well, played and had fun. But one piglet was not like others. He dreamt about traveling to far- far lands.

Piglet:
I’m tired of that forest, hut, and this food. I want to taste something better. I should go to find some better place.

But mother-pig was against that

Mother:
You needn’t go anywhere. There is no place like home.

But the piglet…

1-й:
How glad am I to live in Russia. Just look at our nature, our beautiful girls in national costumes. Who in the world can dance like that?

2-й
And our national cuisine! Look at these dishes. We, Russians, like to eat and that’s why our cuisine is so various. We have a great variety of soups, meat courses and of course fish.

But our favorite dish is pancakes. We cook them on holidays and just as the everyday dessert.

I want to taste it! Give me a piece!

I’m the great sultan. I have many slaves and plenty of food to eat. Just look at our traditional sweets. We have halva, pahlava, rahat-lucum, different candies and cakes. We eat sweets and become more kind and calm. But no one can touch them and no one can see my beautiful girls.

We Americans eat a lot. When we go to a saloon, we don’t expect to be hungry afterwards. So cooks put a lot of food at our plate – sometimes it can be too much.

We like meat. What can be better then a good piece of barbecue on your plate. But we are always in a hurry that’s why “fast foods” are so popular today. Hey, man, give me a cowboy hamburger, I’m in a hurry.

Look! What a big piece of bacon. Stand still! I want to taste you.

Oh, it’s 5 o’clock. It’s time for “high tea”. Tea is very popular with us; it may be called our traditional drink. The English like it strong and fresh made. Tea must be brewed as follows: one teaspoon for each person and one for the pot. We drink it with or without sugar, but almost always with milk. It is important to pour tea into milk, and not vice versa. Tea is accompanied by ham, tomatoes and salad, bread and butter, fruit and cakes.

Italian cuisine is the best in the world! It is spicy. We eat many vegetables, especially tomatoes. We were the first to cook spagetty and risotto. But the queen of Italian cuisine is pizza. It is quick to cook and very tasty.

I wanted to find a better place, to taste another food. And what I get? There is no place for me in the world! What shall I do? Where can I go? Everyone wants to hurt me!

What a beautiful place! Look at this tasty food. My favorite varenyky! And borsch! And dumplings!

East or West – Home is best!
